About the Role

The Associate will play a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in the technology sector. This position offers significant exposure to deal-making, portfolio management, and strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and passionate about technology and private equity.

Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and networking.
• Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive financial, operational, and market due diligence on prospective investments, including financial modeling and valuation analysis.
• Financial Analysis: Build and maintain complex financial models to assess investment returns, risks, and exit strategies.
• Deal Execution: Support all aspects of transaction processes, including structuring, negotiations, and documentation.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor and support portfolio companies, collaborating with management teams to drive operational improvements and growth initiatives.
• Market Research: Stay informed on technology trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging innovations to inform investment strategies.
• Presentation & Reporting: Prepare investment memos, pitch decks, and performance reports for internal stakeholders and limited partners.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members and contribute to strategic discussions and firm-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not required.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, venture capital, management consulting, or a technology-focused corporate role.

Required Skills

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis. Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with tools like Python, SQL, or Tableau is a plus. Understanding of technology sectors (e.g., SaaS, AI, fintech, cybersecurity) and market trends.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude. Ability to thrive in a lean, collaborative team environment with high accountability.
