Job Description
At Huawei Helsinki R&D Center, we are currently looking for talented Multimodal Generative AI Researchers, to research and develop next-generation multimodal generative AI technologies. We are particularly interested on large-scale multimodal models and generative AI techniques applied to visual content, including images and videos. Topics of interest include but not limited to:

We will proceed with the selection process on a first-come, first-served basis once we find the ideal candidate who is the perfect fit for the position.
- Generative models (e.g. Diffusion and Auto-Regressive models) for controllable image and video generation and/or editing.
- Multimodal Models (e.g., LlaVA, LLaVA-OneVision, Qwen) for analysis, understanding and/or control.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Ph.D. (or MSc with 4+ years’ experience) in Generative AI, Multimodal Machine Learning with Vision and Language
- Experienced with at least one common DL framework, e.g., Pytorch, Tensorflow
- Strong Expertise in at least one of the following areas: Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning, Conversational AI
- Solid Programming skills with Python
- Fluent in English
- Ideally the candidates should have experience and interest in methodological and architectural innovations as well as interest and aptitude in applying state of the art methodologies in new domains and applications in an industrial context.
- Experience working with large-scale dataset construction and model training
- Proven records in top-tier publications, e.g., TPAMI, CVPR, ICCV, ACL, EMNLP, etc.
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge of Diffusion Models and Transformers.
- Experience in training large-scale deep neural networks on distributed systems.
