Head of AI

We need to find a Head of AI for our financial services client in Sydney CBD. This is a permanent role with an attractive salary and flexible working.

It's an exciting time to join and head up the AI practice. Over the past 12 months, generative AI and AI agents have been adopted and integrated across the business. Now, there is a heavier focus on combating the risks of artificial intelligence and the governance that is needed for that.

There is a strong team culture in this environment. You will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of 10 AI Engineers, ML Solutions specialists, Data Engineers and Analysts. There are plenty of opportunities to knowledge share, mentor and continue to grow and progress the team in artificial intelligence, ensuring technical innovation is at the forefront of everything.

You will play a key role in engaging with vendors. AI and automation initiatives currently handle 5% of the businesses workload. AI Agents and mutiple GenAI solutions have been operationalised and fully embedded within business processes. Vendor management will make up a sizable percentage of this role.

In this role, there will be a strong focus on AI governance. There are strong foundations in place with an AI Risk Management Framework already implemented, which clearly defines roles, responsibilities, and governance for responsible and ethical AI use.

This role requires strong communication skills. You must be able to clearly articulate and simplify to technical and non-technical leaders and executives, and collaborate with them to work through challenges together.

An attractive salary package is on offer for this role. This is a flexible working environment, with the opportunity to work from home and in the Sydney CBD office. Serving a notice period is fine, and interviews will commence immediately.
