We’re early, moving fast, and already have customers and enterprise opportunities in motion. You’ll be joining a highly experienced founding team spanning Microsoft AI, Fortune 500 enterprise sales, enterprise product, executive relationships, and venture-backed startup building.

We have an office in Rincon Hill and are building a high-agency, intense, fun team.

The Role

We’re hiring a Founding AI Engineer, Forward-Deployed.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build the next generation of applied AI software for enterprise customers. You’ll work directly with the founders and Fortune 500 technical / executive stakeholders to design, build, and deploy production AI systems.

You should be excited by AI agents, agentic architecture, platform development, ambiguous customer problems, fast prototyping, and shipping real systems.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build production AI agents and agentic workflows  

• Architect agentic systems that can operate across enterprise tools, data, and workflows  

• Build platform infrastructure for applied AI products used by enterprise customers  

• Work across Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure AI Foundry, and enterprise data systems  

• Use agentic development tools daily: Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code + Copilot/Cline, Codex, Replit Agent, Windsurf, or similar  

• Translate customer requirements into technical architecture and shipped product  

• Join customer workshops and implementation calls with technical and executive stakeholders  

• Turn repeated customer workflows into reusable product infrastructure  

• Work with ETL pipelines, semantic models, ontology layers, and messy enterprise data  

Non-Negotiables

• Deep experience building AI agents, LLM applications, or production AI workflows  

• Strong agentic architecture and platform engineering instincts  

• Very comfortable using agentic development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code + Copilot/Cline, Codex, Replit Agent, Windsurf, or similar  

• Strong Azure experience  

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure AI Foundry, or Azure OpenAI  

• Ability to communicate clearly with enterprise customers and executives  

• Strong data engineering / ETL fundamentals  

• High agency, strong judgment, low ego, and comfort operating in ambiguity  

Nice to Have

• Prior Fortune 500 or enterprise implementation experience  

• Forward-deployed engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or customer engineering background  

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI, Anthropic, or vector databases  

• Experience with semantic modeling, ontology design, knowledge graphs, or enterprise data architecture  

Compensation

$150K–$200K base salary + meaningful founding equity. Flexible for exceptional candidates.

Location

San Francisco / Bay Area preferred. We have an office in Rincon Hill. Open to remote for exceptional candidates, with customer travel as needed.
