We’re partnering with a highly capitalised, ambitious business building a completely new category: AI-native services platforms. Instead of selling software into companies, they acquire and own real-world service businesses and rebuild them with AI embedded at the core of operations.

About the Role

As CTO, you will own they technology strategy at the most important moment in the company's evolution.

This is not a traditional engineering leadership role. They are not building a large in-house engineering org. What they are building is an AI-native operating model and you will be the person who defines it, owns it, and delivers it.

You will sit on the Executive Leadership Team, report directly to the CEO, and have genuine influence over the direction of the business. Technology here is not a support function. It is embedded in every customer interaction, every operational decision, and every competitive advantage they create.

You will:

• Own the AI strategy and drive the transition toward autonomous agentic workflows as the core operating model of the business
• Build the data infrastructure that makes intelligence possible, a centralised, high-quality layer across our property management systems and third-party platforms
• Ship real AI wins with measurable ROI, not pilots, not proof of concepts, but production systems that change how work gets done
• Lead all build vs. buy vs. outsource decisions with commercial and operational discipline
• Own our cybersecurity posture and IT governance, and prepare the business for IPO readiness
• Manage a lean specialist team and define the right balance of in-house talent and external expertise over time
• Translate complex technology strategy into clear, confident communication for the Executive Leadership Team and Board

About You

You are a technology leader who builds, not just directs.

You likely bring:

• Hands-on experience actually building AI agents and agentic workflows in production, you've gone deep with Claude Code, Open Claw or equivalent, not just talked about them
• A track record of owning technology strategy in a high-growth business, with the exec presence to match
• The commercial instincts to treat build vs. buy as a discipline and vendor relationships as a lever
• Experience owning cybersecurity and IT infrastructure at an organisational level
• The ability to explain technology clearly to non-technical stakeholders, at board level, not just in engineering standups
• An empathetic leadership style, you can guide a team through change with care and without losing momentum

You may come from:

• A founding CTO or early CTO role in a scale-up where you've had to be both strategic and hands-on
• An AI engineering background where you've built production systems that real businesses depend on
• Environments where you've had to move fast, make hard decisions, and own the outcomes

What matters most is that you are genuinely AI-fluent, not AI-aware. You use these tools daily, you think about where they're going, and you know how to translate that into real business value.
